Tips For Purchasing A Recliner

purchasing reclinerBefore you go out and purchase a new recliner, there are things you will need to consider. First, figure out the location you want to set the recliner in. Once you have the location figured out, you will want to measure the area; keep in mind that the recliner spreads out and may need more room behind it and definitely more room in front of it, depending on the method it uses to recline. The next thing to consider is your existing décor style and color. You will want the style and color of the recliner to blend into your existing furnishings and not stand out as something totally different.

Who will be using the recliner is a strong consideration. The person that is likely to be the most frequent user should be the basis of the size choice, taking into consideration the amount of room. A short person will not be comfortable in a recliner with an extra deep seat, whereas a taller person requires a deeper seat and would not be comfortable otherwise.

Once you have your décor, and your material figured out (cloth or leather types) you will then want to have the person most likely to use the recliner do a multitude of sit tests. Sit down, recline, relax, close your eyes and pay attention to what your body is telling you. If you can’t fully relax in the recliner then it is probably not quite right for you.
